How Machinefabriek Krimpen makes gears
Gears are mechanical devices that transmit power from one side of a machine to the other. The speed ratio and friction experienced by the gears depend on the tooth profile. There are various tooth profiles for different types of gears. These features are critical in the creation of an optimally functioning machine. There are several options for the design of gears. What kind of gears can you buy from us?
With years of experience in the trade, you can buy various gears from us as a manufacturer. If desired, we supply gears with a quality mark and we use a module size from 0.6 to challenge us! The quality is 3-2 according to DIN 3962. The gears that you can buy from us include ring gears, straight teeth and helical teeth.

How do we measure gears accurately to the millimeter?
The gears that you buy from us as a manufacturer must of course be produced accurately to the millimetre. Machinefabriek Krimpen has a very modern CNC machine, with which a gear can be measured. This gear measuring machine allows us to:
- To check our milled and ground gears.
- To check gears made by others.
- Gears to be assessed during an revision, should they be replaced or not?
- Retrieving the data of gears for which no data is known.
The gears that we can measure have a maximum diameter of 1600mm, a maximum tooth height of 1000mm and a maximum workpiece weight of 3500kg.
